Reclaim Your Balance yoga studio at Highlands Health and Wellness! Our studio is rooted in functional medicine and aims to help you achieve balance in body, mind, and spirit. As an extension of  Highlands Health and Wellness, this space is designed to provide a yoga practice that teaches you skills to reduce stress, strengthen your musculoskeletal, hormone, gut, and brain connection, reduce inflammation, improve sleep, increase energy and most of all- Create balance in your life!

In all classes, you can expect to have ample time to slow down, breathe, and move your body.

Our Classes 

In all classes, you can expect to have ample time to slow down, breathe, and move your body. If you’re looking for a hardcore workout, this is not the place for you. While a yoga class can and often does support strengthening the body and increasing flexibility, the biggest benefits you’ll find will be invisible to the eye. The benefits are numerous and extend far beyond the time spent on your mat! Underneath the surface, you may experience greater regulation of hormones, improved digestion, lowered stress response, increased capacity to focus, and higher quality of sleep. You may find that you breathe easier, your shoulders feel lighter, your mind less cluttered and a renewed sense of balance in your life!

Our Classes

All of our classes are beginner-friendly and accessible to most bodies. The studio is on the lowest level of the building, and all students must be able to walk up/down stairs to access the space. Beyond that, we tailor our classes to the small number of students present, include the assistance of props, and many options for the varying bodies in the room. If you have any questions about accessibility, we encourage you to reach out!

Reclaim Your  Presence

This class will begin with slowly flowing through posture to posture with guidance from the breath to bring intention and mindfulness. We will create a space that will help ease the mind and open the body. The class will conclude with longer, supported holds to gradually open the body tissues, deepening beyond the muscles to the fascia and tendons. This class is designed to support stress relief, opening and releasing tightness in the body and mind, and connection to self.

Reclaim Your Focus

This class is a slow and steady vinyasa flow.
We will wake up the body through intentional and energizing movement, linked with breath, to get you ready for the day ahead. Each class will include a focus on setting intention for life both on and off the mat, as well as time for deep breathing, stretching, and grounding movement. This class supports physical strength, mental focus, and stress release.

Reclaim Your Rest

This class is a restorative practice.
A slow, nourishing, and gentle practice to slow down and turn inward while connecting with yourself. We rest in different shapes for one to seven minutes with ample supportive props to find a deep release in the muscles, fascia, and mind. We will find comfort and release while allowing time for you to find a comfortable variation for your body. We will stretch and release through class and end with a guided meditation. This class supports mental and physical relaxation, stress release, and improved sleep.

Reclaim Your Energy

This class is a slow and steady vinyasa flow.
Step into the weekend with a class focused on energizing the body and focusing the mind. Each class will include a focus on setting intention for life both on and off the mat, as well as time for deep breathing, stretching, and grounding movement. This class supports physical strength, mental focus, and stress release.
